James Day

Senior Client Partner, Logistics, Distribution & Transportation Sectors

James Day is a Senior Client Partner and member of Korn Ferry Search London office where he co-leads the Transportation, Distribution & Logistics sectors in EMEA within Korn Ferry’s Global Industrial Practice.

With over 25 years’ executive search experience, he advises clients on talent strategy, executive search, and Board & CEO engagements worldwide.  James supports clients globally in transportation across all modes (truck, ocean and air), as well as contract logistics, freight forwarding, e-commerce logistics, transportation management with an emphasis on integrated 3PLs, parcel, mail and wholesale distribution.

Additionally, James leads the Supply Chain, Operations & Procurement Practice in EMEA.

James works closely with public companies and their boards, private equity and infrastructure funds, family and privately owned businesses to support their most critical decisions: shaping their leadership team and determining how to unlock their potential.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann in 2005, he worked at Veredus (formerly PwC executive search) focusing on board and senior management appointments both in the public and private sector. ​

His early career was with a reputable Financial Services boutique where he focused on searches within asset management, fund management and investment banking.​

James has a BSc. in Technology Management from Oxford Brookes University.
