John Buechli is a Principal in Korn Ferry’s New York office and is a core member of the firm’s Global Industrial Practice, where his expertise lies in the Mobility and Manufacturing sectors.

Mr. Buechli partners with clients to drive a strategic approach to executive talent and human capital management. He has worked with Fortune 500, publicly traded, privately held, and private equity backed organizations to build high-performing leadership teams that can unleash organizational potential and maximize value.

Mr. Buechli supports clients globally across the automotive and mobility value chain —including OEMs, suppliers, specialty vehicle and aftermarket companies, retail and service networks, and commercial and passenger vehicle platforms. His work also extends across adjacent sectors such as diversified manufacturing, capital equipment, engineered products, and industrial technology.

He has led and executed numerous search assignments for senior-level executives with a focus on Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and President/Group Executive positions. He also is a member of the CEO Succession Practice, where he advises clients on the development and implementation of succession planning initiatives.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Buechli worked in the Industrial and Board & CEO practices at a global executive search and advisory firm. Mr. Buechli earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
