John Kuper

John Kuper is Senior Client Partner and Market Leader for the North America Technology Practice of Korn Ferry, Professional Search.

In his position, Mr. Kuper leads a talented team of search professionals who focus on the recruitment of mid-level leaders within Software, Telecom & Media, Hardware and Business Advisory Services. Leveraging his own business and executive search expertise, he focuses on driving successful human capital projects for his clients and for the Firm.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Kuper was a Senior Client Partner within Korn Ferry Executive Search. During this time, Mr. Kuper worked with Technology and Telecommunication clients ranging from emerging growth organizations to global, public companies. 

Before joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Kuper was a  Partner at a national boutique where he led numerous senior level executive searches within the Telecommunication and Media industries. Mr. Kuper began his search career with Heidrick & Struggles, as a Senior Associate, within the firm’s TMT Practice. Earlier, he was a Senior Manager, Executive Recruitment for Capital One. During this time, Capital One grew from a small regional bankcard operation into one of the largest diversified financial services companies in the world. Mr. Kuper started his career as Assistant Dean of Admissions for Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.

Mr. Kuper earned a Bachelor Arts, Psychology from Hampden-Sydney College. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he is a former Board Member for PhillyCarShare (now Enterprise CarShare) an organization dedicated providing community-based car sharing.
