Vice Chairman, Global Consumer Practice and Board & CEO Services

Lauren Shin is a Vice Chairman in Korn Ferry’s Global Consumer Practice and Board & CEO Services. She is based in the firm’s New York office.

Lauren advises board directors, CEOs and other c-suite leaders on search and advisory assignments. In addition, she coordinates efforts of the firm across all of its services to bring holistic leadership and talent solutions to meet clients’ needs.

She serves a broad range of clients within the consumer sector and has deep expertise in fashion and lifestyle, beauty and personal care, food and beverage, and omnichannel retail. 

Previously, she was a Managing Director/Partner at two other global search and advisory firms, leading relationships with some of the largest consumer and omnichannel retail clients.  In addition to her search and advisory experience, Lauren has held a variety of senior leadership roles in strategy, business development and finance at Liz Claiborne, Ralph Lauren and NBC Universal.

Earlier in her career she was an investment banker, most recently working with Morgan Stanley's Media & Communications Mergers & Acquisitions group based in London and New York.  She began her career with Arthur Andersen and has a CPA.

Throughout her career, Lauren has worked closely with C-suite executives and Boards and has extensive experience offering broad array of leadership advisory services. She also brings a global business perspective having lived and worked in the US, Europe and Asia.

Lauren holds a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and International Business from the NYU Stern School of Business.
