Matthias Walther is a Principal with Korn Ferry Professional Search. Based in Brussels, he leads and delivers executive and professional search assignments across the broader EMEA region, with a particular focus on the Industrial Practice.
With more than 10 years of experience in executive search and talent advisory, Matthias has successfully completed mandates across a wide range of functions and leadership levels, including senior management and C-suite positions. His areas of expertise include commercial leadership, operations, supply chain, HR, and general management roles within chemicals, construction, and agribusiness sectors.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Matthias worked with Egon Zehnder, where he developed a strong foundation in executive search and talent identification within a best-in-class consulting environment.
In addition to his search expertise, Matthias is an internationally recognized specialist in Human Resources Management. Since 2009, he has conducted both theoretical and empirical research on international careers and talent mobility, with his work published in leading academic journals. He regularly delivers training sessions and guest lectures at universities on topics related to international careers, talent management, and leadership.
Matthias holds a joint Ph.D. in Human Resources Management from the University of Bamberg (Germany) and Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (France). He is bilingual in German and French and is also fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch.
