Born in Bali, Indonesia, Ratna has lived and worked in Australia, China, France, Belgium, and currently based in Singapore. She speaks Indonesian, English, conversational French and Mandarin and earned her Masters degree in Communication Management from University of Technology Sydney and  Bachelor degree in Political Science from Macquarie University,  Sydney, Australia.
