With more than 30 years of experience in sales and commercial transformations in different industries René´s passion is enabling client organisations, teams, leaders, and other individuals to grow their businesses by developing and executing commercial and go-to-market strategies with measurable impact.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry René acted as global sales and marketing practice and centre-of-expertise lead at a global strategy execution consulting firm. Before taking the global role, René was in charge of their German, Austrian and Swiss business being responsible for their full service range from leadership, assessment, change, transformation and coaching to other areas like finance, innovation and digital transformation.

René founded and ran his own experiential learning and consulting firm servicing international clients in more than 70 countries for almost 20 years.

In parallel he co-owned and  co-led an integrated executive search boutique firm focussed on life sciences.

He began his professional career at a multinational life science and chemicals company before he studied business administration at the University of Cologne, law at the University of Düsseldorf and psychology at the University of Hagen. René acted and acts a (visiting) lecturer at multiple universities and business schools.

René is a Dutch and Swiss citizen and is fluent in German, English, and speaks Dutch, French and Spanish.
