TJ joined Lucas Group, now a Korn Ferry Company, in February 2017 as a Senior Executive Search Consultant, and within 18 months, he earned President’s Club and Sales Trip, and in his second year, he achieved Sterling Club, President’s Club and Sales Trip. Analytical by nature, TJ enjoys learning what a client is looking for and finding ways to quantify those needs and find the ideal professional for the position. Personable and genuine, he develops strong relationships with all parties, is always transparent throughout the process and is not afraid to have difficult conversations. TJ is diligent with his research on what candidates fit a role and what roles truly fit the candidates that he is representing, resulting in long-term placements & partnerships.
Prior to his time with Korn Ferry & Lucas Group, TJ was a freelance percussion and music educator for two years before starting his career in recruiting. Before Lucas Group, he worked with a recruiting firm specializing in sales recruiting, partnering nationally on various sales programs for SONY, HP, T-Mobile and other large brands.
Outside of work, TJ runs one of the top competitive drumlines in the world, Atlanta Quest. From November through April, he, along with his staff of volunteer educators, teach a group of college percussionists who come to Atlanta from all over the Southeast U.S. TJ holds a B.B.A in Marketing from the University of Georgia.
