Mr. McGovern has over 25 years experience in compensation consulting.
His expertise includes executive compensation analysis, peer groups, cash and stock-based incentive plan design, corporate governance solutions, executive severance arrangements, regulatory disclosure global grading and work measurement.
Mr. McGovern works with companies at every part of their life cycle: pre-IPO, IPO, high growth, maturity, Chapter 11, spin-off and merger and acquisition.
Mr. McGovern has also been a recent speaker on executive compensation, has led webinars on the topics of EC Trends, Incentive Design and Corporate Governance, and authored papers on the topic of executive pay.
Mr. McGovern graduated from Swarthmore College with Honors in Economics. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. McGovern was a Partner and North American Rewards Leader for a large global advisory firm, where he managed critical client relationships at the Compensation Committee and management level.
