Vanessa Truskey is a Principal in Korn Ferry’s Culture, Change, and Communications practice. Vanessa partners with clients on the best ways to inform, engage, and inspire employees so they can deliver on the organization’s mission and business strategy.
Vanessa feels strongly that successful change management strategies and culture transformations are rooted in clear and consistent communications.
Vanessa’s expertise includes internal communications strategy and planning, employee engagement, change management, leadership transitions, and messaging work.
Before joining Korn Ferry, Vanessa led internal communications for Nestlé USA where she built a new communications capability for the company’s Chief Digital Transformation Officer, wrote the annual communications strategy for the HR function, and helped bring to life the company’s employee value proposition.
Prior to that, she was director of internal communications at Fannie Mae where she was responsible for enterprise-wide internal communications and culture change. She co-led work to define the company’s vision, values, behaviors, and employee value proposition. Vanessa changed the way the company recognized its employees by introducing a new rewards and recognition program aligned to the company’s values and behaviors.
Previously she was Vice President at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, a leading global public relations firm. There she focused on media relations and issues management work for clients in the technology sector.
Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, N.Y.
