Vivian Shen is a Client Partner in our Shanghai office focused on Consumer and Retail markets. Vivian has over 20 years’ experience in Executive Search, Corporate Management and Strategy Consulting.

Vivian is a seasoned senior leader in consumer and retail sector. She used to lead digital transformation of a European retailer and built from scratch their Ecommerce in China. She was a board member of the European retail company in China. She also had the experience of being COO of a global internet platform and building and managing operations across countries.

Her rich corporate leadership and business management experiences gave her good insights on how to structure an effective organization, how to select talents with great potential, and how to build and lead a high performing team.

Prior to taking the management roles in corporates, Vivian was a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company for multiple years. She worked in both China and US with clients across consumer, retail and healthcare sectors with a focus on strategy development, organization transformations, post M&A integration, etc.

Vivian graduated with Distinction from INSEAD with an MBA. She also holds a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
