Prior to crossing over to Executive Search, Marnix was a Partner with KPMG (focusing on Energy and Industry), held financial leadership roles at Shell (Upstream and LNG) and was a Consultant with McKinsey (Energy Practice). Between Shell and KPMG he spent two years in CEO and CFO roles in start-up companies.

Marnix brings extensive first-hand experience with cost management, LEAN operations, FP&A, joint venture governance, financing and M&A – and notably leading large international teams and change.

Marnix lived in three countries (The Netherlands, Malaysia, and Singapore) and worked on the ground in many more. He speaks fluent Dutch and English, and conversational French, German and Mandarin.

Marnix, a Dutch national, has an academic background in Econometrics (VU Amsterdam 1998) and Organizational Psychology (INSEAD 2018) and is also a CFA charter holder.
