Mattijs van Eck

Mattijs has been working with both global and regional clients in mainly the financial services industry. More specifically, his expertise lies on talent and reward strategies in the Investment and Asset Management industry, as well as with Local and International Financial Institutions like development funds and central banks.
He delivers results to clients as a project manager, facilitator and consultant/specialist. Example clients are European Investment Bank, ING, InsingerGilissen, Van Lanschot, Aegon, PGGM, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, Qatar Investment Authority, Nidera, and a number of Central Banks and local development funds.
Dr. Van Eck has expertise in the areas of total reward strategies, performance management, benchmarking strategies, benefits, integral talent strategies, job frameworks and grading and competency management.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2014, Mr. van Eck worked at EY as the lead for the Reward practice. In that role Mattijs was responsible for the expertise development on reward, as well as the business development and delivery of reward related projects.
Prior to EY, Mattijs spent 5 years at Hay Group. In that time he lived in various countries where he worked on talent and reward related solutions for clients in all industries.
Dr. Mattijs van Eck holds an MBA degree of the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He is a guest lecturer at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and Windesheim University in Zwolle and is the author of several articles published by professional journals in the field of HR strategy and (executive) remuneration.
