Mattijs brings 18 years of experience in which he advised executive teams and HR Directors in mainly the banking, insurance and investment management industry. He worked on projects across the globe with a focus on mainland Europe, Middle East and South America.

His work in the financial services market brings a well rooted network and strong affinity with the challenges in this industry. He advised executives and HR teams on current challenges in the industry like diversity & inclusion, reskilling of the workforce and people cost optimization.

Mattijs has particular expertise in succession planning, talent strategy, executive search, leadership and talent development, organisational development and total reward.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mattijs served as the leader for the Talent & Reward practice of a Big-4 firm. Before this role he worked and lived in Brussels for Hay Group Consulting.

Mattijs is a Dutch national and graduated from the University of Groningen in Business Administration and IT Governance. He is a guest lecturer at several universities on business transformation and people strategy.

Mattijs is a native Dutch speaker, fluent in English and has a working knowledge of German.
