Tierney Remick is the Vice Chairman and Co-leader of Korn Ferry’s Global Board and CEO Practice. She has recently moved into this leadership position after having spent 10 years as the Global President of Korn Ferry‘s Consumer/Retail Industry practice. She also served on Korn Ferry’s Global Operating Committee for the past decade.
Tierney is a seasoned executive with extensive experience partnering with Boards and CEO's on managing leadership succession in boardrooms and the C-suite. She has also been recognized for her work advancing diversity across the Board and C- suite in addition to serving as an advisor on Board Governance and broader ESG issues.
Tierney is a nationally recognized expert on many leadership topics and has co-authored recent articles on the changing profiles of today and tomorrow's CEOs and boardrooms.
Tierney has partnered with colleagues from Executive Pay to develop Modern Principles of Pay the Modern Principles for Sensible and Effective Executive Pay – a research study published jointly with the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program in Fall 2020.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Tierney spent many years with another global executive search firm. Her earlier experience includes account management experience with The Leo Burnett Company, a leading international advertising agency and time with a marketing consulting firm.
Tierney serves on the Board of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP) and the Aspen Institute's Business and Society Program. She is a former Board member of The Chicago Network and is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow. She lives in Chicago with her husband, Rick, and 3 children.
Tierney earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Princeton University.
