Behind the Hires: Ashley Youngs

Ashley Youngs is vice president of client solutions in the Physician Workforce Solution practice at Korn Ferry.

Job description: “I bring together the right people and expertise to solve clients’ workforce challenges. That might mean recruiting physicians, building workforce strategies, or planning for future growth.”  

Origin story: “I was a Division I volleyball player at the University of Miami. Athletics taught me discipline, resilience, and how to perform under pressure—and most importantly, teamwork. Success was never about one person. It was about trust, accountability, and bringing out the best in those around you. That deeply influences how I approach client partnerships today.”

Best part of Korn Ferry: "The people. Korn Ferry is filled with individuals who are passionate about helping clients succeed. Every day I get to learn from incredibly talented colleagues and collaborate on meaningful challenges."

Most likely to find her: “On a volleyball court, coaching my teenage stepdaughter. We also love finding excuses to travel, especially if it involves great food and a great game. Go Canes!"

Outlook on the industry: “Healthcare is fundamentally a people business. Technology will continue to evolve, but great patient care will always depend on having the right people in the right roles.”  

If she could wave a magic wand: “I'd create more sustainable environments for healthcare professionals. As an athlete, I learned that people perform at their best when they have the right support system around them. The same is true in healthcare. We need environments where people can thrive. Everyone benefits—especially patients.”
