




Bob Meehan advises community, regional, and national banking institutions, credit unions, and government-sponsored and regulated financial institutions across North America on CEO and C-suite succession, board and leadership advisory, and senior executive search. He is a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry’s Financial Services Practice.
Bob brings extensive executive search and financial services experience, with deep expertise across the full C-suite, including CEO, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Credit Officer, Chief Lending Officer, and Chief Banking Officer roles. Throughout his career, he has led more than 750 senior-level searches, including the placement of more than 40 bank CEOs, and is widely recognized for building leadership teams within complex, highly regulated banking environments.
He is a trusted advisor to boards and executive leadership teams on CEO succession, leadership assessment, executive team effectiveness, and long-term talent strategy. Bob is one of Korn Ferry’s leaders in CEO succession and senior leadership search across North American financial services, with particular expertise in risk management leadership and the evolving demands of governance, regulatory oversight, and enterprise risk.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Bob spent two decades as a Senior Partner with another leading global executive search firm, where he helped build the firm’s Risk Management Practice during its formative years and led its Community and Regional Banking CEO and C-suite Succession practice. His work spanned senior leadership roles across enterprise, credit, market, operational, and regulatory risk management functions. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles with major financial institutions, including Putnam Investments and Wells Fargo.
Bob joined Korn Ferry in the firm’s New York office and now splits his time between Seattle and West Palm Beach.
