John leads Korn Ferry’s Financial Officers Practice across APAC, overseeing executive search for CFOs and senior finance leaders.

Based in Singapore, he brings 20 years of experience in recruiting for CFO, Tax, Treasury, Audit, Group Finance Director, Controller, and other critical finance roles. He also advises organizations on leadership development and talent strategies impacting CFOs and the broader finance function.

John has partnered with a diverse range of organizations, including global corporations, publicly listed companies, and private family- and private equity-backed businesses. Operating across industries, he is known for his pragmatic approach and ability to build trusted relationships with top-tier finance talent, both established and emerging.

Earlier in his career, John served as Operating Director at a global recruitment and executive search firm, where he led recruitment teams and managed commercial operations across the UK and Ireland. His expertise has consistently centered on helping clients secure high-impact finance leaders.

Originally from the Highlands of Scotland, John lives in Singapore with his wife, Julieanne, and their two children, Emilia and Ethan. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
