Anthony J. LoPinto is the Managing Partner & Global Sector Leader, Real Estate. He is also a member of the Financial Officers Center of Expertise and the Board and CEO Services Practice.
Mr. LoPinto has successfully led numerous high-profile search engagements for chief executive officers, chief financial officers, directors and a wide-range of C-Suite roles across all public and private real estate sectors. In addition, for twelve years Mr. LoPinto also served as the Managing Partner of Korn Ferry’s New York City flagship office.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2010, Mr. LoPinto founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of a national boutique real estate executive search firm. Before establishing his search practice, he had a successful 25-year career in the real estate industry. In his last role, he was the CFO and Chief Investment Officer for The Charles E. Smith Companies in Washington, DC. The Company’s portfolio included a 20 million square foot office portfolio, 25,000 multifamily units, five full-service hotels, and an urban retail portfolio. In 1994, Mr. LoPinto led the company’s IPO on the New York Stock Exchange.
Earlier in his career, Mr. LoPinto held senior strategic capital market roles with Bankers Trust Company and First Chicago. He also had an executive leadership role with Mobil Land Development Corporation.
Mr. LoPinto earned a bachelor of arts degree in European history from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. He is a weekly commentator on GlobeSt.com and is a frequent speaker at major industry events. He is also a member and governor of Urban Land Institute and member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, Pension Real Estate Association, National Multi-Housing Council and The Real Estate Roundtable.
