Compass Program Lead

Kayla Cocchiarella is the Compass Program Lead at Korn Ferry. With a genuine passion for helping public accountants successfully transition their careers into industry, Kayla is a dynamic leader who brings a unique perspective to the Korn Ferry Compass Program, having walked in the shoes as a Compass consultant herself.

Before taking on her current role, Kayla began her career in public accounting at EY, serving clients in the financial services practice and later served as an accounting and finance consultant with Salo, where she honed her expertise in the intricacies of consulting as both a Compass consultant and interim consultant.  During her time consulting, Kayla got first-hand experience in controllership, technical accounting, finance, and financial reporting system implementation. In her roles, she interacted with controllers, VPs of finance, and CFOs in companies ranging from $25M to $100B in revenue in the financial services, software-as-a-service, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.

Drawing from her personal experiences and professional knowledge, Kayla is dedicated to empowering individuals on their career path, assisting them in navigating the complexities of transitioning from public accounting to industry roles. With her leadership, guidance, and genuine passion for helping others succeed, Kayla continues to make a lasting impact on the careers and lives of those she touches through her role at Korn Ferry's Compass Program.

Kayla holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and is an inactive CPA. She lives in Hopkins, MN with her husband and two small children. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, bike rides around the wonderful bike network of the Twin Cities and learning Italian.
