Senior Partner

Kraig King is a Senior Partner for Korn Ferry Leadership and Talent Consulting based in the Firm's Minneapolis office.

Mr. King brings decades of experience in helping organizations enhance the effectiveness of boards, CEOs, senior executives, executive teams, high potential leaders, and talent management systems. He draws on a robust background in business management, behavioral science, and talent management consulting to enable organizations to leverage talent strategically. He has worked with U.S. and global clients across industries, including consumer goods, financial services, education, energy and utilities, healthcare, industrial goods and services, manufacturing, professional services, retail, and non-profit.

As part of our CEO & C-Suite succession practice area, Mr. King designs executive succession and development processes. He assesses top talent to help organizations make better decisions and helps accelerate the development of senior leaders. He evaluates board, director, and CEO performance. As an executive coach, Mr. King helps leaders to prepare for next-level roles, ensure transition success, and develop critical skills in setting strategy and direction, building teams, grooming talent, influencing and inspiring others, and driving organizational performance. He also partners with HR to improve organization-wide talent management systems for succession and high potential development.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. King was an Executive Consultant for PDI Ninth House, now a Korn Ferry company. His professional history includes serving as vice president and general manager, Personnel Decisions Research Institute, Inc.; director of marketing, NCS Organizational Assessments, and positions in brand management for General Mills, Inc.

He is a member of HR People & Strategy and the past president of the Minnesota Professionals for Psychology Applied to Work.

Mr. King holds a doctoral degree in psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University, a master's degree in industrial/ organizational psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor's degree from Occidental College.
