As part of our CEO and C-Suite succession practice area, Mr. King designs executive succession and development processes. He assesses top talent to help organizations make better decisions and accelerate the development of senior leaders. He evaluates board, director, and CEO performance.
Mr. King prepares leaders for next-level roles, to ensure transition success, and develop critical skills in setting strategy and direction, building teams, grooming talent, influencing and inspiring others, and driving organizational performance. He partners with HR to improve organization talent management systems for succession and high potential development.
Mr. King has worked across a wide range of industries including agriculture, energy, consumer, retail, financial services, hospitality, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, technology, and others.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. King was an executive consultant for PDI Ninth House, now a Korn Ferry company. His professional history includes serving as vice president and general manager, Personnel Decisions Research Institute, Inc., director of marketing, NCS Organizational Assessments, and positions in brand management for General Mills, Inc.
He is a member of HR People and Strategy and the past president of the Minnesota Professionals for Psychology Applied to Work.
Mr. King holds a doctoral degree in psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University, a master’s degree in industrial/ organizational psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor’s degree from Occidental College.
