Maarten's background in the social sciences, coaching and counselling make him passionate about human capital development, helping businesses unlock their employee's potential as a creative engine for growth and success.

Prior to Korn Ferry, Maarten served as senior management consultant in various industries, first for his own firm, later joining a boutique specialized firm, focused on designing and delivering strategic transformation and change trajectories for SMEs and global corporations.

Knowledgeable in M&A and as post-merger integration specialist, Maarten provided the methodology and managed the full scope of integration of several country entities into a global telecom infrastructure technology company. Maarten also helped integrate several software companies into a venture backed new entity.

As organizational strategist, Maarten supported the transformation of a pharmaceutical entity into a commercially viable and growing independent player in the global API market. Part of this assignment was advising and coaching C-suite on cultural enablers, transitioning to competitive thinking and acting.

Due to his specialist focus on organizational effectiveness, Maarten works in several sectors, although with a strong affinity towards the technology sector, automotive & mobility, and financial & professional services. Within manufacturing, Maarten supports companies on their circularity & sustainability journeys.

Maarten completed courses in Competitive Strategy at INSEAD, Leadership at HarvardX and holds several master's degrees in social sciences, both from the USA and the Netherlands. Previously having lived in the USA and the UK, Maarten lives in the Netherlands, is native Dutch and English speaker, and conversant in German and French.
