Matt has facilitated sustainable behaviour change in a wide range of cultural contexts, aligning individual and team development to the organisation's strategy. He values establishing a culture of learning and psychological safety by building connection, openness and awareness, all in the pursuit of personal and professional growth.
As a lead facilitator for frontline, mid-level and executive leadership workshops in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East, Matt has delivered impactful work for thousands of participants and received resoundingly positive feedback about mindset shifts, new perspectives and actionable behaviour changes.
Matt distils complex ideas into relevant concepts for his audiences and balances this with rich group discussions, welcoming healthy debate and establishing a flow with the participants to ensure high engagement.
Matt brings breadth and depth to his cultural insights, having lived and worked in 5 countries and travelled to more than 60 countries on 6 continents. Always people-focused, Matt is energised by customer-facing roles in which successful outcomes are contingent upon bridging differences and building foundations of trust.
Matt draws on the resilience and spirit of camaraderie he developed in his early years in the United States Marine Corps, on empathy and a growth mindset from his time running a small wellness business, and on organisational savvy and deep behavioural insights fostered by assessing and advocating for business leaders as a consultant.
Recently, Matt worked in talent management for Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company, with 65,000 employees of nearly 100 nationalities. There, as an executive coach and talent management specialist, he and his team worked to strengthen and redefine the company's leadership pipeline in preparation for the company's IPO.
