Steve DiFilippo is a Manager in Korn Ferry’s Executive Search Assessment Practice for North America. He is responsible for interpreting assessments and consulting with clients to identify candidates who possess the qualities required to achieve success.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Steve spent 20 years working with the US Navy and Marine Corps as a social worker and executive coach.

Steve has extensive experience in the use of assessments for talent development, assessment and selection, and in clinical settings.

Steve was instrumental in establishing an executive coaching program in the US Submarine Force where he assessed for leadership traits and provided coaching to submarine commanders. 

He has been called upon to assist leaders in times of crisis and he is recognized for his ability to establish trust, provide constructive feedback, and convert his knowledge of psychology into leadership acumen for his clients.

With more than two decades of experience as an award-winning clinician and executive coach, Steve specializes in helping individuals unlock their full potential, whether through the clarification of thought to solve complex problems, or the development of leadership and strategic planning skills.

He holds a Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Psychology from California State University San Marcos.

Steve is an ICF (PCC level) credentialed coach and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
