Mr. Harn engages in coaching by helping individuals see the personal advantages in making changes and then focusing on skills that will change perceptions.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, he worked as a degreed engineer in a plant and a consulting firm. After returning to school for doctorate in industrial/organizational psychology at Colorado State University, he joined Personnel Decisions as a consultant. He gained experience in consulting until Korn Ferry acquired PDI and he advanced to Principal Consultant.
He builds critical capabilities in manageable steps, typically practicing skills in dry runs of real situations to produce immediate benefits. He also identifies pragmatic steps that can be taken to get feedback and support from others on the job to solidify new skills and get recognized for enhanced capabilities.
He has extensive experience with the technology, industrial, energy, healthcare, financial services, transportation, consumer goods, non-profit.
Mr. Harn received his doctoral degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Colorado State University and master's degree in lifespan human developmental psychology from West Texas State University. He holds bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Montana State University.
