Betsy Flores started her career in sales for a large, Fortune 500 corporation. During her six-year tenure with the organization, she received several promotions and worked her way up to Operations and Staffing Supervisor.

In her supervisory role, Betsy was responsible for internal recruiting for two major stores in the Houston area, including the company’s largest volume store in the Texas/Oklahoma region. While working full-time and exceeding goals and expectations, Betsy was simultaneously working toward her degree in finance.

After graduating, Betsy was in search of a career that would capitalize on her passion for staffing and recruiting as well as her background in finance. She landed at Lucas Group in 2015 as a Researcher and moved quickly to support the Contract Accounting & Finance practice group. Within the last couple of years at Lucas Group, Betsy has earned several awards including President’s Club, Sterling Group and Platinum Elite - which recognizes the top 20 recruiters across the organization.

With her proven success in recruiting, Betsy was promoted to Branch Practice Manager over the Contract Accounting & Finance group in Houston. In her role, Betsy partners with organizations to truly understand their needs, support them through growth or restructuring and provide solutions to each situation in an efficient manner. Betsy understands the value and complexity of contract or consulting roles and enjoys finding the ideal match for Accounting, Finance, Tax and Audit roles.

With a consultative approach that focuses on understanding client and candidate needs, Betsy applies her education and work experience to ensure she guides individuals toward positive, strategic decisions that impact careers and businesses.

Originally from El Salvador, Central America, Betsy came to the U.S. at the age of 19. She holds a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Houston—C.T. Bauer College of Business.
