Christopher McClure

A significant part of Christopher's practice involves working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, with particular experience placing General Counsel and other senior legal leaders into PE-backed businesses.  He understands the unique demands placed on legal executives in private equity environments, including the need to balance sophisticated legal judgment with commercial pragmatism, operational agility, and the ability to partner effectively with management teams and sponsors.

Christopher also brings specific experience within the life sciences and healthcare sectors, where he has recruited senior legal talent for organizations operating in highly regulated and rapidly evolving environments.  His broader experience spans law firm partners and groups, government and compliance professionals across corporate legal departments, government agencies, nonprofits, and trade associations.

Prior to entering executive search, Christopher spent nearly 12 years in the New York legal market, including serving as a mediator and arbitrator handling a wide range of commercial matters.  That experience provides him with a practitioner's perspective on the legal profession and an understanding of the substantive and leadership qualities that distinguish exceptional legal executives.

A native North Carolinian who spent many years in New York before relocating to Washington, D.C. in 2022, Christopher has developed an extensive network throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast.  He brings a naturally positive outlook and a strong commitment to relationship-building, client service, and long-term partnership to his work.

Christopher serves as a Guardian ad Litem, representing the interests of foster children before the courts.  Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and following the Carolina Panthers.
