For the past 30+ years Mr. Smit has worked with industrials, life sciences, transport and defence businesses - based in the UK, EMEA and the Americas - to develop their organisations, transform their cultures and enhance their people performance.
Within these markets, Mr. Smit has led numerous operating model reviews, organization strategic planning and organization design efforts. He has helped plan and facilitate business change transitions and large-scale organization culture transformation initiatives.
Mr. Smit has also led leadership assessment and development projects, has facilitated leadership team development programs and provided individual coaching to executives.
His professional expertise spans organisation strategy & design, business culture change, leadership development, enterprise learning and talent management.
He has held global HR leadership roles in the Life Sciences and Telco industries.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Smit was a Director in Organization Transformation at Deloitte, and held a similar role at PA Consulting before that.
Mr. Smit holds a Masters degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology and a Post- Graduate Diploma in HR Management from the University of Cape Town. He is a Chartered Industrial & Organisational Psychologist and certified Level A & B Psychometrist. Clive has also completed executive education programs at IMD Lausanne and Harvard Business School.
