Managing Director, West HR Interim
As managing director of the West region HR Interim Team, David leads our HR business development director teams in Denver and Phoenix/Scottsdale to create meaningful experiences for our consultants and clients across the Western states.
Prior to joining Salo in 2019, David was SVP, Human Resources for Element Fleet Management where he guided the business and the HR function through M&A activities and the integration of several corporate cultures. He focused on driving a unified environment that values employee engagement and performance, while ensuring that the Company has the right organizational structure in place to deliver growth and commitment to clients. The role at Element followed 20 years of HR leadership positions at General Electric where David held roles in several industry segments, including: commercial leasing, energy finance, aviation finance, retail finance, corporate treasury and headquarters operations.
David is passionate about talent development, strategic HR and business-oriented decision-making, and the community. He is active as the Board Chair for the non-profit The Lift Garage in Minneapolis, coaches youth soccer, and actively volunteers with Feed My Starving Children, Boy Scouts of America, and with his church community.
David is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program and holds a Bachelor's degree from Boston College. Additionally, he holds his Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean certifications. David and his wife and four children live in Minnesota.
