Senior Director, Intellectual Property Development

Heather is a senior member of the IP Development team in the Korn Ferry Institute, based in the historic city of York, in the UK.

She has over 25 years’ experience in leadership development, consultancy, talent management, and engagement.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Heather held the role of Vice President, Talent, Engagement, and Mobility at Aviva Insurance (North America). At Aviva she was part to the Global Talent Task Force through which she co-designed the organization’s enterprise-wide talent management approach, working as a client of Korn Ferry.

Heather’s career began in the newspaper industry where she worked for 13 years, culminating in her leading the training and development function of one of the UK’s largest print media organizations. 

From there she worked for several years with a development consultancy designing, delivering, and assessing accredited leadership programs for a wide variety of clients, both private and publicly listed.

Heather’s expertise lies in the design and development of talent processes, the writing of support materials and program collateral, creative thought leadership, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at any level.

At Korn Ferry, she has led and played a key role in a wide variety of core IP development projects, papers, and research studies.  She also manages the KFI’s contract editing and design team.

Heather’s postgraduate field of study was in human resource management, at Sheffield Business School. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Leeds University, having studied at The College of Ripon & York St John.
