She has over twenty years’ experience in designing, developing, and deploying creative and highly engaging learning solutions. This includes in-person instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, asynchronous, and live broadcasting programs. Furthermore, she has designed and delivered a wide variety of programs at all organization levels across industries. Industries include finance, insurance, mining, engineering, and consumer services.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Liza worked as an instructional designer and a learning solutions architect for several global consumer and commercial services companies.

Liza has content expertise in leadership development, customer service, software interface training and performance management and development.

Liza’s professional experience includes re-visioning the architecture of a two-year leadership development program and its later conversion for the virtual learning environment, which won the 2021Training Magazine Top 100 award for ‘Innovation in Training’.  Additionally, she created and implemented innovative learning activities to improve critical thinking, deepen learning, and promote the application of new skills and abilities. Having applied adult learning theories in learning solution design, she created communities of practice to promote cognitive apprenticeships and informal learning.

She has lived and worked in several countries including South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Liza received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology and an honors degree in leadership development from Rand Afrikaans University. She earned a master’s degree in leadership development from the University of Johannesburg and a master’s degree in learning design and technologies from Purdue University, IL.

Liza is bi-lingual, fluently speaking Afrikaans and English.
