Mrs. Risse helps clients to clarify their strategic intent and translate it into executable plans. She is known for her integrity, energetic approach and drive to connect the dots. She is passionate about working with senior leaders and leadership teams to increase their effectiveness.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2019, Melanie worked at Philips, most recently as Head of Organizational Effectiveness and Culture. In her role, Melanie was responsible for the people side of Philips’ Mergers & Acquisitions. She created and supported the implementation of new organization designs, the creation of a shared culture and tailor-made change management programs. She co-designed and implemented a methodology to build and sustain high-performing leadership teams. She regularly executed senior leadership team interventions to unlock the full potential of the teams. Next, she also ran the global performance management process for Philips.
Melanie started her career in IBM where she soon specialised in change management. In that role, she was often the integrator of different business transformation workstreams with the goal to optimally support impacted leaders and employees through the change. She consulted a wide range of companies and sectors.
She gained a Master in Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. Melanie completed various change management, organization design, and leadership team effectiveness courses and is an Organization Development Certified Professional.
Melanie grew up in Germany and moved to the Netherlands at the age of 21. She is bilingual in German and Dutch and speaks English fluently.
She is the mother of two wonderful kids, enjoys running and spends most of her weekends cooking home-made Italian food.
