Miguel's focus is to provide organizations with solutions to help them attract, retain and develop talent, with a special focus on compensation and benefits (namely in the areas of retributive diagnosis – both interna equity and external competitiveness; salary policy making, among others), Assessment and organizational climate studies of employees, to help in business performance and talent development.
Miguel Albuquerque works in several sectors of activity but has a particular focus on the FMCG, Banking, Transportation Health and Energy sectors (especially Renewable energy and Oil and Gas). His work has been developed not only in Portugal but also in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Angola, South Africa, Brazil and Mozambique.
Its consulting activity involves coordinating projects (such as Client Partner and Project Manager) on several fronts including compensation strategies and benefits, development of Korn Ferry's annual salary survey as well as adhoc studies, talent attraction, leadership effectiveness, support in talent academy development and assessment for top leaders and business area leaders.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry Hay Group, Miguel worked in some multinational companies (a leading company of consumer products in the area of technology, north American multinational in the automotive sector and leading company in the recruitment and selection sector), assuming functions as Country Manager, having also launched a recognized recruitment and selection organization in Portugal.
Before returning to Portugal, Miguel lived in London and in Cape Town.
He holds a degree in Public Relations and Advertising.
Miguel speaks English and Spanish fluently.
