Ryan is an expert at discerning and matching business challenges to the person uniquely qualified to solve them, at Salo, a Korn Ferry Company.

Business is done by people, and Ryan’s approach to building relationships with both clients and interim professionals, chiefly asking good questions and listening, allows him to understand their makeups well beyond the job description and the resume.

Those questions, and the insights they ultimately lead to are informed by his experience advising more than 70 clients over nearly 11 years with Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory, followed by dozens more over more than three years with Salo and Korn Ferry, in areas including:

• Core and commercial finance, FP&A, and business partnership
• Core accounting, technical accounting, month end close
• Finance transformation
• System implementation
• Finance and accounting ops model changes
• Internal audit, risk assessment, SOX
• Data analytics
• Project management
• Risk and corporate compliance

They’re further informed by his ongoing experience in a range of human-centered fields including coaching, speaking, and non-profit and community development.

Ryan holds a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he was a member of the University Honors Program and the division I baseball team.

Ryan lives in Eden Prairie, MN with his wife, daughter (3), son (1) and dog (shepherd/beagle). He enjoys all things athletic, outdoor, and learning focused.
