An experienced and strategic recruiter with a history of consistent recruiting successes, Shelley Muhs has over 20 years of search and recruiting experience.

Position expertise resides in mid- to senior-level commercial positions supporting revenue generation, business development, marketing, product management and communications. Markets served include industrial manufacturing and services, oil & gas, energy transition, chemicals, environmental services, construction and logistics.

Shelley joined Korn Ferry via the 2021 acquisition of Lucas Group where she had served 9 years as an Executive Senior Partner in the Sales and Marketing Division and a top- performer annually. She specializes in client development and sourcing commercial talent on a national basis. Her success has come from homing in on the uniqueness and intricacies of her clients’ business and culture. Taking a role’s objectives, specs and requirements necessary to achieve success, she strategically matches synergies between hiring authorities and candidates to create long-lasting partnerships.

Prior to joining Lucas Group, Shelley spent two years recruiting HIM leaders for national and independent hospital systems during the government mandated electronic medical records platforms. She successfully secured a master agreement with the second largest for- profit hospital system in the U.S. and placed nine HIM professionals with them in 2012 after just eight months in the healthcare field. She also led Smith Hanley Consulting Group’s Marketing & Business Analytics Division from $2MM to >$13MM and from 8 to over 90 consultants during her tenure. Prior to moving into the recruiting industry, Shelley spent 15 years in hotel and restaurant management with Lancaster Hotels & Resorts.

Shelley’s recruiting game is constantly on, including while on the tennis court, where she spends much of her free time. She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
