Sector Leader, Vancouver
Simon McDonald is the Sector Leader of the Industrial Practice for Korn Ferry’s Professional Search team in Canada. He leads a team of specialized consultants covering all aspects senior level recruitment for western Canada.
Simon has over eighteen years of search experience as a Partner and has led teams in the UK and Canada and worked across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. His work in the UK included a wide range of government and public roles including CEO and senior leaders of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and roles in the Royal Parks.
In Canada, he has worked across a range of sectors including government, industry, and consumer with a wide range of projects including the Chief Operating Officer and Vancouver Venue Director for the 2025 Vancouver Invictus Games.
Prior to beginning his career in executive search, Simon spent 20 years in UK local government, including five years as Assistant CEO in a role where his responsibilities included managing the office of an elected Mayor.
Simon lives in North Vancouver. He has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and an MBA. He is a keen hiker, with a passion for the outdoors.
Simon will lead this search, attending client meetings, interviewing candidates and will be personally responsible for the project’s success.
