Mr. Hilgers consults with international, listed and non-listed companies on executive board and senior management compensation as well as director pay. He has been working with companies across all industries in many countries to develop, design and implement executive compensation policies.
In addition, Mr. Hilgers is frequently involved in international assignments relating to corporate transactions such as M&A and IPOs.
Mr. Hilgers specializes in competitive benchmarking (executive and non-executives directors), external & internal appropriateness testing, certainty equivalence analysis.
His expertise include incentive design: translating company's strategy into short- and long-term incentives and corporate governance: ISS analyses, stakeholder analyses, drafting remuneration reports, preparation for annual shareholder's meeting.
Mr. Hilgers also specializes in the valuation (IFRS2) of equity based compensation, scenario modelling and simulation of remuneration results.
Mr. Hilgers studied Business Economics (specialization Corporate Finance) at Tilburg University. Before joining Korn Ferry, he was senior consultant at Towers Perrin/ Towers Watson. Mr. Hilgers is a regular guest speaker at seminars and conferences around executive pay.
