A seasoned professional with over two decades of dedicated experience in leadership and talent consulting, she is deeply committed to fostering growth and development among leaders, informed by assessment insights. Leveraging her expertise, she drives impactful results for organizations through integrated talent management strategies. Her areas of focus include leadership assessment, coaching program management, leadership development, and success profiles.

Prior to Korn Ferry, she worked for private and government/non-profit talent advisory organizations where she led engagements with large multi-national clients as well as U.S. based clients. She has utilized her consensus building and facilitation skills to lead design sessions with a diverse array of global team members. 

Ms. Makiney has enabled clients to develop success profiles and competency models, implement behavioral interviewing programs, evaluate assessment results, and utilize 360 feedback tools and processes.

She has extensive experience working with clients in a wide range of industries, including technology, life sciences, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and retail.

She earned her doctoral and master’s degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron and a bachelor’s degree from California State University Sacramento. She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has presented at numerous professional conferences.
