Mikael brings a broad expertise in the overall Human Resources area with a combination of strategic, tactical and hands-on approach. This allows him to better understand the various HR needs and challenges from the client’s perspective, enabling comprehensive analysis, assessment and delivery.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mikael has obtained a strong and diverse international HR experience from the Finnish subsidiary of a multinational and multi-business corporation. As the Human Resources Manager for 30+ years he was responsible for all HR functions & activities in Finland and the Baltic countries, as well as for Total Rewards and several Business Units in the Nordic region.
Mikael has a master’s degree in Political sciences from Åbo Akademi, where he majored in Civil law, with a minor in Economics and Public law. The focus of his studies was on Labor law. He is fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English.
